आलू-परवल कैसे उछलते हैं?

 

एक पतीली में आलू और परवल उबलते हैं। नीचे अंगीठी जल रही है। एक बालक आकर देखता है तो बड़ी आश्चर्यदृष्टि से कहता है, माँ देखो आलू-परवल कैसे उछलते हैं! माँ अंगीठी बुझा देती है। आलू-परवल अब स्थिर रह जाते हैं। बालक पूछता है, माँ आलू-परवल अ​ब क्यों नहीं उछलते? माँ कहती है, वो पहले भी अपनी शक्ति से नहीं उछलते थे, पतीली के नीचे अंगीठी की जो तापशक्ति है, उससे उछलते थे। अंगीठी के बुझते ही वो निष्प्राण रह जाते हैं।
