Is money the parameter of success?

Money, Money, Money! Everybody is after gaining and multiplying money. Since dawn to dusk, awaken or slept, in dreams with eyes open or closed most of us keep our mind and body occupied with the mad rush after the money.

Only the people who have money possessions are called successful, whatever the stories they carry underneath.

Is money the parameter of success? It stirred up in my mind when I shared about success of one of my sessions on Emotional Well Being, with my friend. I was quite enthusiastic and highly satisfied, felt immense peace in my heart and the satisfaction on the faces of the participants inspired me to conduct such more sessions for the people who need it. And for me it was a great success. But my friend whom I shared with sternly reacted how much did you get? Did you have some monetary gain? Why do you come up with free sessions? How do you find it successful? And many more questions in reference to earn money.

The peace my heart got disturbed till the bottom of it. Just like somebody must have thrown pebbles one after the other in the calm Mansarovar Lake where I could see the crystal clear water till the bottom with the utmost clarity. The crystalline and the clarity got disturbed nothing was visible. The thoughts, in my mind, in my response to my friend’s reaction were rising and falling rapidly. The vision got blurred, the buzz of the questions forced me to think about to have paid sessions. And the calculation of gaining and multiplying has been started. The peace of mind, the clarity of vision, the level of satisfaction, everything is trodden.

How much would be enough to prove myself successful in the eyes of others, I don’t know. 

The peace of mind is the parameter of success or money, for me  peace, for others money may be.
