Her brush and my words 10

The love seeds

In the core of the love his light resides.

In gratitude to his presence

The love surrendered.

With the warmth of him

The love seed bursts opened.

The volcanic eruption

Brought the lava of enthusiasm

In the gleaming ray

In an extraordinary way

The twined love and light

Danced to the mysterious height.

Flared up and around

No sound, no ground

The enormous love

Reached to the peace that throve

Dropped the drops of joy

All around on the ground

The mystery of love and light

Fused into many seeds of love

To evolve the same over and again

The love seed became the core of nature again.

‘In the pool of love’

In the pool of love

The hatred dissolved

Out came an angel

In the fair gale.

On the rough road,

In the self destructive mode

The yellow floss from the sun

Plunged into the dirt of hate

Merged with the hidden “I”

Got to know the how and why

Raised the inner strength

Led to the peace that is known

Out of the imperfect,

 the perfect came.

In the pool of love

The hatred dissolved

Out came an angel

In this fair gale.

Her brush and my words 8

A conversation

You are deep within me, and I am deep within you,

Just go deep down in your heart

O! Earth you lay at the bottom of my heart

O!  Ocean you live in the bottom of my heart too

We exist on each other’s base.

Up here we are striving for our rights

You gush out to fight

Why do you hit so hard, is that right?

And leave your imprints on my surface bright.

You keep trying to throw me out

How much would you dig me out?

I come to douse off the fire which owns your heart.

Oh! No, that keeps our love alive

The warmth of the fire whirls up the air

To make you purer, to take you higher

Pulls you up to play in the space with the wind

You dance there in the lightning springs,

On the beats of the thunder, in the hall of wonder

You rock and roll, scroll and troll, curl into pearls

And come down to me again to flow in my veins

I embrace your moist to nurture your children

They need you as much as they need me

They need the warmth of the fire, don’t douse it off

They need the swirls of the wind, to sway their arms in the space

Be my confidant as I am yours.

Let our contours compliment our dignity

We promise to have the secret vigilant space between you and me.

In our society men in particular have been taught not to cry, to put a brave face when they are hurt. All of us at one time feel that the only way to survive is to close off our feelings and emotions so we can't be hurt again. And if pain is deep we might even try not to acknowledge within. This can make us frozen, rigid, because deep down we know that one small break in the ice will free the hurt to start circulating through us again. The rainbow colored tears on this person's face hold the key to breaking out of this ice_olation. The tears, and only the tears have the power to melt the ice. It’s okay to cry, and there is no reason to feel ashamed of your tears. Crying helps us to let go of pain, allows us to be gentle with ourselves, and finally helps us to heal.!! Rekha J. Singh

'The frozen tears dazzle the eye'

The frozen tears dazzle the eye

No fright, no fear

The dazzling bright eye

Reveals the truth of the tranquil mind;

No thoughts, no words, after the pain

The efforts of emotions went in vain.

The rainbow tears frozen to pearls

The soul peeped out through the window

Blind in and out, in the dazzle of its own light

No spark, no flicker, no fizz or flash

No confusion, no sorrow, no havoc or a mess

There remained the eye of the hurricane.

Whizzing and whirling had no power

The quiet peaceful, tranquil mind

Had shut the window of the emotions

With the peaceful, unruffled, calm mind and will power

The pearls in the eye triumphing the victory over tears.

Don't ask to understand the secrets of the universe, but simply to

know what this moment means.
It's easy to get lost in endless speculation. So today release the need to know why things happen as they do. Instead, ask for the insight to recognize what you're meant to learn.!! Rekha J. Singh

'The enthusiasm'

In the enthusiasm resides the bouncy moment

The wriggly wiggly   movement,

That leads towards the untwisted joy.

Raises the veil of illusion, reveals the certainty of being,

Flow together the ions of joy and bliss.

Elated me and delighted thee

Creating a new story of ripple less ocean

In the moment of motion less devotion.

Her brush and my words 5.

Most of the querents come with complains all the time. They actually think that "life is too hard. Often I tell them that, I can't believe how easy we have it. But everyone should have my problems."
I have problems but I'm greatful for them. I'm not trying to sound like I'm better than all others, but I do feel that my attitude is more useful and, frankly, correct. Each problem I have is an opportunity to grow. Every issue I notice about myself.... whether it's my tendency to be hard on people (and myself). or my tendency toward paranoia... Is, I believe, a way that I can become a better person.
Growth is possible only when you notice areas that need tending. I have a diary on my bed that says, "The courage to grow is noticed by the universe." In other words, by noticing a problem that you have and choosing to grow through it.... To learn and become better... God will pay attention and good will come from directing your energy to the dark spots in your life.!!     Rekha J. Singh

'The barren land'

The barren land as she became

With the fire shots from the crowd

Darts from all the directions came

No shield could help her proud.

One after the other,

 Jolted, the breach of peace

Many pierced the heart drier.

The rigid rocky adamancy

Crackled and cracked

Fragmented into pieces

The lava beneath the cracks

Steamed up through them

Out came the light with it

Came up! up! up!

In the light, felt light

Rose up in the lighter moment

In the nothingness of the barren land

Turned into an innocent angel that can

Holding tight within, the own candle

Rose up! Up! Up!

Above the ground

Where nothing surrounds

Began to dance in the wild wind

Above the land dry,

Across the beautiful sky.

WANDER... Where there is no path.!!
There's no time like the present to "get lost". Realize that a path has many Expressions!! ...... Exploring creativity, intuition, pursuing a relationship. Choose one, and get lost on the pathless path today.!

                        'The pathless path'

The pathless path came in my way,

With the gleaming, glimmering ray,

There was no aim, there was no pain,

The empty, spineless fission had a priceless vision.

Focused on myself,

Liberated from fear and suffering towards the doorway of freedom

Broken the shell emptied myself into my arms,

slipped swiftly and moved forward

To blossom red and pink

Hither thither hither thither

Here to there and there to nowhere and everywhere.

The arms following me I was blossoming without any kink(Twist)

Left my foot prints

The pathless path ended at the blossom

I curled up to make me, me again out of me!!!!

I had me inside me again

From the coal to diamond

 The broken dreams,

The deformed self image

The closed perspective

That expresses ambiguity.

The tightened lips

Crushed the words

Swallowed speech

Fierce or cool

A mix match

Scattered pain

Blurred vision

The hopeful eye

Turned within

The journey

From dark to grey

And grey to silver

The sniffed rage

Got a sincere gaze

The external impact

Sacked in the silver wisdom

Chasing the dreams

From the coal to the diamond.

From the dust to the frozen water

Change like the sand dunes,

Change like the waves

Rise and fall

To take a new shape,

Build- rebuild, rebuild and build

Don’t stick to any guild

Be the brown or dry, blue or wet

Don’t leave your camel to die or the ship to sink

Adapt to the situation bit by bit

Release the dust or squeeze the drops

To the loose sand or the frozen water

Distribute, withhold and retain

To discern between the truth and lie

Find the treasure of infinite bliss,

Hidden in the change of truth

Steal from within, in the light of your own, me, you and them.

Strings of love springs the fountain of joy

The fountain of joy

Strings of love spring the fountain of joy

Coming out of the silent thoughts,

Touched by the trail of hush -hush (Shhhhh….)

Flows the quiescence, makes the stream of love

The calmness speaks in the void

Created from the hurricane of thoughts, a composition of chaos

The Choreography of the emotions from the super storm of mind

Touched by the trail of hush -hush (Shhhhh….)

The Strings of love spring the fountain of joy

Pre School-Teachers are not the teachers they are the researchers.

Pre School-Teachers as researchers

Role of teachers has been shifted from a teacher to a researcher especially in Pre Schools as they shape up the live clay.

Every child differs in his/her levels of mental, physical, socio emotional and language. Above all throughout the day, children experience a wide range of feelings or moods which may lasts for minute to minute or sometimes hour to hour.

This makes the teachers’ role to shift from that of giving direct instructions to allowing children’s thoughts and ideas to plan the direction of the curriculum. A flexible curriculum which can be guided well by the moods of the learners where the method changes but objective remains the same.

Teachers as researchers need to carefully listen, observe and document children’s work. Simultaneously they are also committed to their own professional growth and use documentation to reflect on their own practice.

Who is a researcher?

A researcher is someone who conducts research, i.e., an organized and systematic investigation into something. Scientists are often described as researchers.

There is a researcher within all of us including children:

1.     An analytical mind

2.     The ability to stay calm

3.     Curiosity

4.     Quick thinker

5.     Intelligence

6.     Commitment

7.     A people person

8.     Sympathetic

9.     Excellent written and communication skills

1    Personal effectiveness

1. An analytical mind (5 W- what, when, who, where, why and 1 H)

A teacher researcher constantly analyzes a variety of factors. What is the appropriate methodology to deal with the individual child?  What are the suitable questions to put up why and how? When is the right time to implement the method? Why does the child want to do it in his own way? Why are they asking questions? What are the observations telling us? Why are they telling us that? How do the teacher researcher best communicate the observations?

The teacher researcher has to be able to see the bigger picture in detail. People often find it easy to do one or the other but a skilled teacher researcher can do both simultaneously.

2. The ability to stay calm (inner peace)

A teacher researchers work can be really stressful many a times, especially when they are expected to complete the syllabus in a stipulated time. When such situation occurs they need to stay focused and think logically and work persistently peacefully.

3 Curious

The teacher researchers may have the necessary intelligence but if they are not curious enough then they won’t be passionate about delving deeper to unearth more accurate and deep understanding of learners and their potentials.

A teacher researcher has to have an inherent interest in what learners think potentially about anything, only the curious teacher researchers can observe at the greater depth and extract the best information.

4. A Quick thinker

As mentioned in the beginning every child differs in his/her levels of mental, physical, socio emotional and language. Above all throughout the day, children experience a wide range of feelings or moods which may lasts for minute to minute or sometimes hour to hour and that changes all the planning so the teacher researchers has to be a quick thinker to take a decision and manage the situation.

5. Intelligence

Teacher researchers require critical analysis but most of all common sense, that is the best sense. They need to expand their knowledge and intellectual abilities through their role as a teacher researcher.

6. Commitment

A teacher researcher needs to be committed towards her work.  She has to be committed to be a lifelong learner from multiple sources of knowledge. Avail all the opportunities to learn from all around the classroom and school. Each learner and each challenge provides a chance to learn, practice by making mistakes. Teaching becomes very different when a teacher practices as a researcher, one becomes a student in a classroom of learners.

7.  A people person

This is important because a teacher researchers works with live stock, children and their parents to explore the potentials of the learners to the fullest.

8. Sympathetic

A teacher researcher should have a sympathetic ear when listening to some children or parents’ problems, is always a good skill to have.

 9. Excellent written and communication skills

A teacher researcher have to have excellent written communication and be fluent in the language to express as she can convey her observations well to the parents of the learners and does a proper documentation too.

10. Systematic

Check again and again. It seems simple but proper amount of time for checking the work always pays dividends. This applies to all parts of learning process. Attention to detail the ability to ensure that data is accurately presented and reported.

11. Personal effectiveness

Maximize the personal effectiveness as a teacher researcher by developing knowledge and skills that will bring rewards to you, learners and parents as well.

Teachers need to be ready to develop scientific skills to play their new role as teacher researchers. We at ‘Bakhal’ train teacher researchers.
